ClickFunnels Review: Straight-Up, Honest Feedback From REAL Users

If you sell products or services online, you need a funnel.

In fact, you need a GREAT funnel  – but only if you want to make actual sales ;)

However, you also need a tool that helps you easily market, sell and deliver those products and services.

And that’s when the hard part begins.

Whether you’re a proven tech-geek or the furthest thing from a techie, ClickFunnels could be the tool for you.

Here at Flight Media, our team has explored a TON of tools, and we use ClickFunnels for our own sales and our clients’ projects.

That’s why we sat down and gathered feedback from every single person on our team that uses ClickFunnels to provide this honest, straight-up, no-fluff review.

***This review is comprised of our own experience with the sales funnel tool. We do NOT gain financially from endorsing this tool and we do not have any affiliate links in this article.

What Is It?

If you’re a newbie, let’s start with first things first: What is ClickFunnels?

According to their website, ClickFunnels “gives you everything you need to market, sell, and deliver your products and services online. Without having to hire or rely on a tech team.”

The tool even features pre-existing funnel templates you can copy and customize for your own business. Or you can create your own.

ClickFunnels Review

Let’s dive into the ClickFunnels evaluation from our very own team.

Maja, our Marketing Director

  • The drag-and-drop builder is super easy to use, even if you don’t have any coding/design experience.
  • There is a plethora of templates available, for all sorts of funnels you might need.
  • It integrates well with Zapier, meaning it can integrate with almost anything!
  • It’s really affordable, starting at $97/month.
  • It’s easy to install tracking codes, so you can see where your sales are coming from.
  • You can build an entire membership site on it. One tool to rule them all!
  • You can save sections of a landing page as a template. This will save you a TON of time in the future.
  • You can share funnels with other ClickFunnels users (or in our case, our clients) so they can use them too. No need to fully recreate them and lose your time on it.

  • It’s sometimes difficult to integrate it with other tools if you have custom fields. The trick is to have a proper naming system for your custom fields so that once you start the integration process, Zapier (or other tool you’re using) can pull the data correctly.
  • There is no phone support option! This can be frustrating when you need an answer fast.

Ben, Inbound Marketer

  • It’s really easy to use and customize. However, if you know what you’re doing, it has the potential to be complex.
  • I like that ClickFunnels is super diverse. You can create funnels to capture leads, sell products, host a webinar, or even create a membership site.
  • But they also have more sophisticated funnels to upsell customers with one-click (for example, the 2-step tripwire funnel).
  • Since ClickFunnels is pretty popular, it integrates with many different tools that I’m already using.
  • Sharing funnels between accounts is super easy.

  • The learning curve for ClickFunnels’ more complex funnels takes time to learn, so newbies should stick to simpler funnels to start. However, the tool does provide lots of help when you’re onboarding, and if you’re committed to building your business through sales funnels, this is a great tool.
  • I use multiple Stripe accounts for processing payments. ClickFunnels limits the number of Stripe accounts you’re allowed to integrate with in one account.
  • Customizing URLs can be confusing with multiple elements going on, like publishing, page settings, funnel settings. However, you really only need to change it in the funnel settings.

Marko, Inbound Marketer

  • Between their free and paid templates, you can always find a funnel that suits your goals.
  • The funnel editor is very intuitive, so building or editing a funnel is quick.
  • You can A/B test pages.
  • ClickFunnels offers email automation that can be used in conjunction with – or instead of – your own CRM.
  • It includes a library of stock images that allows me to give my landing pages different visual nuances.

  • Some people criticize ClickFunnels because it’s too simple. I don’t think this is a bad thing, though. We use it with many of our clients, and if you want to be involved in your funnel, it’s very easy to understand and work with.

Josh, CEO

  • I like the diversified elements ClickFunnels offers, so you can get as simple or complex as you need with your funnel. Some of the more complex widgets include SMS signup, pricing tables, countdown timers, and custom HTML.
  • You can also customize specific properties on the elements, so you can match it to your branding.

  • If you plan on building a lot of funnels, ClickFunnels has limits to that number. So you may find that, eventually, you’ll need more than their basic plan. But that’s OK – if your funnels are working and the sales are rolling in!
