If you’re looking to get started blogging, building a brand and gaining subscribers with little cost, these are the bare essentials. They will get your blog live, email marketing in place and have you generating email subscribers immediately.

GodaddyGodaddy (Hosting & Domain)
When it comes to blogging, the first thing you need is simple–a BLOG. I’ve been with Godaddy for years and couldn’t be happier. Installing WordPress takes less than 5 minutes and their customer support is phenomenal. Actually, they’re so great, that I now have a guy names “George” who I can email and have my problems fixed within an hour. Click here to get 50% off hosting. :)

Aweber Email MarketingAweber (Email Marketing)
After your blog is set up, the next step is to begin generating email subscribers. They are the lifeblood of your blog and will allow you to connect with your readers on a consistent basis–whether that’s to share your latest blog post or sell them your new product.

popupdominationPopup Domination (Email Capture)
Having Aweber is great, but when you’re ready to gain some real tractionPopup Domination is a must. (In fact, you probably got a nice welcome from it when you landed on my blog.) I’ve used it for dozens of clients and they see a 400-500% increase in email subscribers on average. It’s a one time cost and will pay itself off the first month with good email marketing. :)

Finding or creating graphics & photos (legally) for your blog posts or products can be very difficult. It’s also pretty hard to find a killer theme for your WordPress site, seeing as their are thousands of them out there on thousands of different sites..
These 3 will solve ALL those problems. 😉

I can’t even count the hundreds (maybe thousands?) of images I’ve purchased from Photodune for my own blog and clients. The quality and variety is incredible, the images start at $1 and there are no monthly fees.

Graphic RiverGraphic River
Whenever I develop a new product or free offer for myself or a client, I make sure to surf Graphic River for a template. In fact, most of my eBooks are designed using one of the templates I purchased on Graphic River! 😉

I can’t speak more highly of Themeforest’s themes. They blow my mind. Over the last year, I’ve purchased more than $2,000 in themes from their authors and haven’t had a single issue unresolved.
